Setting the GPS to "Avoid Freeways," I stopped every 50(-ish) miles to photograph anything visually interesting to be found. The goal destination was the easternmost point of North America, just southeast of St John's, Newfoundland where the Cape Spear Lighthouse is located. Every 50 Miles is a series of photographs to document my adventure.
Along the way, there were stops in Washington, DC, then New York City for two days each to visit art museums, and again in Boston for a 3-day graphic design conference. The 7,233-mile road trip transversed 15 states including Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine, plus Washington, DC (not a state), and four Canadian provinces: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland.
